Polard Comes Out of Prison

This Friday morning it will happen, he’ll come out of here to freedom. All
of Polard’s close circle condemned themselves to silence towards (his)
release. They’re concerned that every bit of information they give might
hurt him. As much as they can help it, the goal is that Polard leaves prison
and arrives at a location where he’ll spend his first days of release after
thirty years of incarceration, as far away as possible from the media and
public. Two Jewish Congressmen, Nadler and Engel, turned to the Attorny
General with a request to allow Polard to set out to Israel immediately
after his release, and in return Polard will relinquish his American
citizenship and never return to the United States again. But if (we were) to
judge according to the government’s reaction thus far, it’s doubtful
whether this request will be granted, too.
