France after the Terror

For sixty seconds, all of France stood silent. Today, after three days of
mourning, a new week started here. A week full of concerns and fear. If
anyone wondered whether France will stick to its values in the face of the
war on terror, the answer came today. President Hollande changes the
constitution in order to protect citizens’ lives, on the expence of the
freedom that is in the republic’s blood. But despite (these) unprecedented
steps, at schools (they) are still far from feeling safe. Paris’ students went
back to (their) classrooms today, but instead of regular classes (they)
talked to the teachers and psychologists about the terror that struck their
city. The lack of security is strongly felt in the street as well. Whether (it’s)
among tourists, or with business owners. So Paris today resembles itself a
little more, but still different. Terror has a way about it, to change how life
is. The French now intend to fight with all their strength so that despite
this change, they’ll still remain French.
