                                    Imperative

                         Imperative

Although there is a specific Imperative form for the verbs in Hebrew, in
modern Hebrew many verbs in their future form are also used for the
purpose of expressing imperative condition.
For instance:

Return the book!                                          !‫ַת ֲחזיר ֶאת ַה ֵס ֶפר‬
Get into the house!                                           !‫תּכ ֵנס ַה ַביתה‬
Get dressed quickly !                                         !‫תת ַל ֵבׁש ַמ ֵהר‬
Tell me about yourself.
Write me an e-mail.                                      .‫ת ַסּ ֵפר לי ַעל ַעצמָך‬
                                                          .‫תכתב לי אי ֵמייל‬
