"Dan Gifts" store Beginner Level
On 27 Bethlehem Road there is a small and beautiful gift shop. But thirty
years ago there is a small tailor's shop there, whom everyone always call
by his family name - Katz. Katz is a Holocaust survivor. After the
Holocaust he makes Aliya to Israel, and opens a small shop in Jerusalem.
Behind Katz's shop there is a large house. In the house lives a young man
named David. David likes to visit old Katz, help him and talk to him. And
Katz loves David very much. When Katz is old, and can't work, he wants
to give his shop to David.
At the beginning David doesn't want to take the shop, because he is very
young, and doesn't know how to be a store manager. But Katz loves David
so much, and wants to give the store only to him. He asks and asks David
to take the store and at the end, David agrees.
David opens a gift shop in Katz's old store.
Katz's store is very small. Today, David's shop is larger, and it is a little bit
inside the living room of his house. The store is inside the house and the
house is inside the store.
Before he dies, Katz gives David a special gift - his old scissors. To this
day, the scissors are in the living room of the house (and the shop) of
David's.
