Little House in Baka
In the neighborhood of Baka there is a special house called "A Little
House in Baka". But this house is not little at all!
In 1939, a wealthy Arab family builds the house, and next to it they build
a large water cistern. The cistern is important, because it stores (keeps) the
rainwater, so the people who live in the house can drink. In 1948, the
people who live in the big house leave it, along (together) with all the
Arabs who live in Baka.
In 1999 a wealthy man named Oded buys the house, and turns it into a
boutique hotel. In the large water cistern of the house there is special and
popular bar today.
