                     Red Means Unhealthy

A new initiative by the Health Minister Yaakov Litzman is fighting
unhealthy food: the Ministry of Health is demanding to mark food and
drinks that aren’t healthy. Starting January two thousand eighteen, (they’ll)
mark with a red sticker food and drinks that have a lot of sodium – salt, a
lot of sugar or a lot of saturated fat. So for instance, (they’ll) mark sliced
cheese, cola and ketchup in red. Healthy food like light bread, skim cheese
and Bamba, (they’ll) mark with a green sticker. Many Israelis have
problems with overweight and too much unhealthy food. The Ministry of
Health hopes that the new stickers would help people know exactly what
they’re buying and eat healthier food.
