Searching the Trash
Everything started at a synagogue in Brooklyn, when one prayer didn’t
find his Tefillin bag, which he has had with him since (his) Bar-Mitzvah.
At first he thought that someone stole the Tefillin, but on the video from
the security cameras near the synagogue (they) saw that the Tefillin just
fell into the garbage bin that was standing next to the closet with the
Tefillin. A garbage truck took the Tefillin from there, along with the trash,
to a big landfill in Rochester. Many people volunteered to help the man
find his Tefillin. Tens of ultra-orthodox people from Brooklyn came to the
landfill and looked for the Tefillin for two days, in hundreds of tons of
trash, until finally (they) found the loss.
