The Hasidic Synagogue
In the Baka neighborhood, on Yael Street, there is a Hasidic synagogue. The
synagogue is named after the Baal Shem Tov and is a very old synagogue.
In the past, it is (was) a large Arab house, so it has special architecture.
Next to the synagogue there is a very old house, one of the first houses in
Baka.
During the holidays, many Jews from all over the world come to pray in
the Hasidic synagogue, and they don't have where to sleep at night.
Therefore, the people who live in the old house have to get out of the
house and go live in another place, and the worshipers can sleep in their
house!
