The Cable Car Museum

In 1948-1967, Jerusalem is half Israeli and half Jordanian. The
entire Old City is Jordanian, but in one place – Mount Zion –
there are Israeli soldiers.
The Israeli soldiers are alone in the Jordanian territory. They
need to receive from Israel food, weapons and medical
equipment. Sometimes there are wounded Israelis and they
need to get to a hospital in Israel.
But how do they do this? The Jordanians fire on Mount Zion all
the time!
A young Israeli thinks of a solution: to build a cable car. In the
cable car they transfer equipment to the Israeli soldiers on
Mount Zion, and transfer wounded from Mount Zion to a
hospital. The cable car works only at night. In the day, the
cable of the cable car is on the ground. The cable car works for
half a year and the Jordanians do not know!
Also in Israel, only a few people know about the cable car until
1972.
The cable of the cable car is a historic cable. A few years ago
an acrobat from Paris walks on a new cable from the Cable Car
Museum to the Old City!
Today, in the Cable Car Museum, it is possible to see the cable
car and its history.
