A Physics Medal
Seven AM at the airport, and Yonatan as you can see him, is as shy as can
be. Doesn’t like to talk, but the boy is a genius. (He) brought a gold medal
from the physics Olympics held in Taiwan. Four hundred competitors
from eighty countries, the gold – by us. Three PM, waiting for the second
team for today to land, the team for the math Olympics in Rio. Six team
members, five medals. They come out in complete silence, quick hugs,
everything is very low-key with these guys. As you can see everyone is
special here, the IDF is chasing after them, (they) probably will never have
to worry about issues of employment or wages. They aren’t famous sports
stars, fans, followers or sparkly flashes didn’t wait here for them, even
though this is definitely a genuine Israeli pride. “Students who are
currently ranked among the hundred and fifty best students in the world in
physics, they are the ones who will change humanity in the next ten years.
These are the super heroes of the state of Israel.”
