Change of names ‫ַּא ְּב ָרם‬

‫ַּא ְּב ָר ָּהם‬

‫ ֲהמֹון ּגֹו ִים‬-‫ ִכי ַאב‬,‫ ַא ְב ָרם; ְו ָה ָיה ִש ְמָך ַא ְב ָר ָהם‬,‫ ִש ְמָך‬-‫ ִי ָק ֵרא עֹוד ֶאת‬-‫ְול ֹא‬

.‫ְנ ַת ִתיָך‬

Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be
Abraham; for the father of a multitude of nations have I made thee. (Gen. 17,5)

‫ָש ָרי ָש ָרה‬

‫ ְש ָמּה‬-‫ ִת ְק ָרא ֶאת‬-‫ ל ֹא‬,‫ ָש ַרי ִא ְש ְתָך‬,‫ ַא ְב ָר ָהם‬-‫ ֶאל‬,‫ַוי ֹא ֶמר ֱאֹל ִהים‬

.‫ ְש ָמּה‬,‫ ִכי ָש ָרה‬:‫ָש ָרי‬

And God said unto Abraham: 'As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name
Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be. (Gen. 17,15)
