White Days
White, long days, as in summertime are the rays of the
sun.
A great calmness of solitude upon the river spac.e
Windows opened wide to light blue silence,
Straight, tall bridges between yesterday and tomorrow.
It is so easy to bear your silence, white empty days.
Indeed, my eyes have learned to smile and have long
since stopped.
Urging the racing minutes forward on the clock face
Straight and tall are the bridges between yesterday and
tomorrow.
My heart has grown accustomed to itself, and gently
counts its beatings.
And by the sweetness of the soft beat it is reconciled, it
lets go and is at peace,
As an infant singing its own lullaby before closing its
eyes,
When the weary mother stopped singing and fell
asleep.
