Antisemitism in the United States
The Vice President of the United States showed up by surprise last night at
the Jewish cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri, to show solidarity. Pence, who
in the recent month has been handling sweeping and clarifying things
President Trump has been saying, or rather not saying, came to the
cemetery accompanied by Missouri’s Republican Governor, Eric Greitens,
also Jewish. He held a joint prayer, and unlike the President, made explicit
remarks against the antisemitism that’s been rearing (its) head recently in
the United States. This didn’t deter those trying to put terror and fear into
(the hearts of) the United States’ Jews, who kept trying to harass Jewish
centers on the phone and make idle bomb threats. American Media has
been dealing with these phenomena very expressly. Muslims in the United
States have also become an easy target in recent months. After Jews
assisted prayers in a mosque set on fire, Muslims collected over one
hundred thousand dollars to rebuild the vandalized tombstones. Both the
Jews and Muslims in the United States are calling for President Donald
Trump to do a lot more to stop this ugly wave.
