Future tense:
The verb ‫ להיות‬is used according to the subject and not according to the owner of the
subject in one of the following forms:

‫ִת ְה ֶיה ִי ְה ֶיה‬ ‫ִי ְהיּו‬

Examples:

I will have an apple. → .‫( יה ֶיה ִלי ַתפּו ַח‬The word ‫ ַתפּו ַח‬is single, thus ‫) ִי ְה ֶיה‬
He will have an apple. → .‫ יה ֶיה לֹו ַתפּו ַח‬.(The word ‫ ַתפּו ַח‬is single, thus ‫) ִי ְה ֶיה‬
We will have an apple. → .‫( יה ֶיה ָלנּו ַתפּו ַח‬The word ‫ ַתפּו ַח‬is single, thus ‫) ִי ְה ֶיה‬
She will have apples (plural). → .‫( יהיּו ָלּה ַתפּוחים‬The word ‫ ַתפּו ִחים‬is plural, thus ‫) ִי ְהיּו‬

*Note: In the future tense the verb ‫ להיות‬is used either in the single or the plural, masculine or

feminine form according to the related subject

Present Future ‫ָע ִתיד‬ ‫הֶֹוה‬
I have a nice I will have a nice ‫ִי ְה ֶיה לי ַבית‬ ‫ֵיש לי ַבית‬
house. house.
I have a nice I will have a nice .‫י ֶפה‬ .‫י ֶפה‬
job. job.
I have a lot of I will have a lot ‫ִת ְה ֶיה לי‬ ‫ֵיש לי עבֹודה‬

‫ִי ְהיּו לי ַהר ֵבה‬ ‫ֵיש לי ַהר ֵבה‬
