Exercise 7: In pairs, translate 8-10 lines from the dialogue into Hebrew row by
row, each translating his or her part. Translate the whole dialogue if you are up
for the challenge. Then act out the dialogue in front of your classmates.

Oh, excellent! We have elegant clothes on

laundry, and they shrink.

6 Honey, our clothes don’t shrink. Maybe
you’re growing fat?

7 Hey, my cousin isn’t fat! Come, Tali, we’re

getting [going] out of here.

8 Ok, Tali, I think I give up.

What (do you mean) give up? After one

9 store?! Men… Here, there’s a store here

with pretty clothes for men.

13 Hello. Do you have elegant shirts and pants

for men?

11 Yeah, sure. Here. How is this shirt?

10 It’s pretty… How much does it cost?

10 100 shekels, it’s on sale.

14 Tali, what do you say?

15 It’s pretty, elegant, and not very expensive.

I say go for it.

16 If Tali says (so) – I’m going for it. Do you

also have size 44 pants?

17 Yes. Here are pants in a size 44. Do you

want to try (them) on?

18 Yes, thank you. Well, Tali, how is it?
