From a Stand to a Bar
People from all over Israel come to the Mahne Yehuda market to have fun.
The problem is that the stand owners at the market say that from all the
restaurants, there aren’t any people who come to buy their fruit and
vegetables. According to the business survey (they) held at the market,
between the years two thousand twelve and two thousand sixteen the
number of restaurants and bars went up from twenty to forty five, more
than double. Everyone agrees that this number is high, and that (they)
should stop here, even the Deputy Mayor of Jerusalem says that it’s
important to keep the balance between the stands and the restaurants and
bars, because otherwise, the market will no longer be attractive for visitors
in Jerusalem.
