                    The Chinese are Coming

Construction at top pace, minimal costs, flash-apartments. This is how
most promises by the CEO of the Chinese construction company sound
like. It won’t really look like the image media – whole buildings erected in
two weeks – but the principal is the same [principal], slabs made in their
entirety in the factory, and all that remains on the ground is assembly. The
Everbright company, located in Beijing, is one of five companies from
China and another one from Portugal, chosen out of fifty companies from
around the world who will contest the right to build in Israel. Saudi
Arabia, Ghana and Malaysia are just a few of the countries around the
world in which the Chinese Everbright company has already built. In Israel
it would be the first time. In the first stage the contract is for five years, but
the Chinese already have plans for the far future. Meanwhile the Chinese
are mostly worried about payment ethics to construction companies in
Israel and the treatment toward foreign workers. In the upcoming weeks,
the Chinese will start coming to Israel. A few of the companies have
already contacted Israeli developers, and still before the trial run has
started, the Ministries of Construction and Treasury are already looking
into the possibility of opening the gate to the Israeli real-estate market to
additional foreign companies.
