A group of tourists arrived in Jerusalem last month.
They waited at the airport (for) two hours before they could
go into Israel.
While they were waiting, they called their friends in Israel.
One tourist (f) even called the airport manager -
she was hoping that he would be able to help them,
and this way they will wait less time. It didn't help.
The tourists tried to encourage one another:
"Now we're waiting,
but as of tomorrow we won't wait for anything -
it's well known that in Israel people don't need to wait."
John said to his friend: "What are you talking about?! My
wife was in Israel two years ago, and she told me that in
Israel people wait all the time!
She waited in line at the bank, waited in line at the post
(office), waited in line at the supermarket.
My brother-in-law, who travelled with her, also waited a lot
– mainly in the line for food in the mornings at the hotel."
"Well," said John's friend, "let's hope it will be okay.
I'll try to get to places early,
and this way I won't wait a lot in lines in Israel."
"Okay," said John, "in the meantime, try to think about
what we'll do when we'll get out of the airport -
I need a good plan to encourage me."
