Olmert Returns Home
At six twenty four this morning, Ehud Olmert came out and was released
from the Maasiyahu Prison. He still isn’t a free citizen; the former prime
minister is now defined on parole. Ehud Olmert wants to say – I’m back to
normal. It’s hard to ignore the former prime minister’s emaciated
appearance. In order to speed up (his) return to a full routine, Ehud
Olmert’s attorneys already addressed the country’s President to cancel
Ehud Olmert’s parole status, meaning the restrictions placed on him as of
now until May two thousand eighteen. And after the wait for the release is
over, (they) now wait for another significant decision, whether a new case
will be opened against the former prime minister regarding the classified
documents. And around all this, the Prison Service are now considering
what to do with ward ten at Maasiyahu Prison, the VIP wing, which was
especially built for the needs of holding Israel’s Prime Minister who was
sent to prison to serve his punishment. Today he came out of there exactly
like when he came in one year and four months ago – alone, with two
security guards close by.
