Drama at Rami Levy
(Those) who don’t know Rami Levy, might be confused seeing this smile;
but there’s no doubt that the big food chain owner is upset and bothered
today, and determined to fight for his good name. It all started when last
night a post was written by this man, Elkana Alon, a former employee at
Rami Levy’s communications company. The array of accusations he
alleged (against) Levy includes hurting pregnant employees, abusing
workers, and even alleged personal gambling problems of Levy himself,
who on his part didn’t stay silent in the face of these allegations and filed a
complaint with the police. Alon claims everything is true, but refuses
today to address the matter. Levy has become a symbol of cheap prices
and competition, but recently, severe claims have been brought up against
him, mostly by employees asking to unionize. Levy’s customers today
weren’t bothered by the former senior employee’s accusations. As were
the employees and his family. Now the Ministry of Communications
announced it will start an examination. Levy believes this is much ado
about nothing [lit. a storm in a glass of water].
