The Sticker Song
This song, The Sticker Song, was written thirteen years ago, and (you) can say about it that it’s like
a capsule of Israeliness. Author David Grossman wrote the song, and said that the song was born in
him a day after Rabin’s murder. In two thousand four he took all the (bumper) stickers he saw on
cars and decided to make a song out of them. The song became a hit, and there’s hardly anyone in
Israel who doesn’t know it. A great deal has changed in the past thirteen years, and (you) hardly see
stickers (anymore). Grossman thinks that this is because people in Israel don’t care enough.
