                                           History in Jerusalem

When the Marines came in at the beginning of the ceremony and the

singing of the American anthem echoed through the compound, everything

was officially ready for this picture. The United States moved its embassy
to Jerusalem, as was confirmed by the two houses of Congress already

twenty three years ago, and was delayed over and over again by previous

presidential decrees. And indeed, one man is in charge of this move, in all
regards, President Trump – who didn’t come for the ceremony but his

message was played on the jumbo screen, and with it the statement that the

United States still believes in sustainable peace in the region. The couple
Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump drew the attention today as well; the

President’s son-in-law was the one in charge of the message that opening
the embassy is just a milestone in a long journey. Beyond Trump, this is an

impressive day for Benjamin Netanyahu as well, an unprecedented

relationship between an Israeli Prime Minister and an American President
ends in another significant diplomatic achievement. Now facing forward,

what does the President’s diplomatic plan entail, the one who promised to

move an embassy and came through, the one who promised to bring the
ultimate deal in the future, and will try to come through as well.
