Israeli Photographs
Photographer David Rubinger went everywhere with his little camera,
because he was afraid to miss important moments. In his photographs he
tells the Israeli story – Ben Gurion and Kissinger, Golda, and Begin with
Carter. His special photos were the personal ones he took, that were only
his, like Shimon Peres in shorts and Arik Sharon in the kitchen with Lily.
David had the quality every photographer wanted – knowing to be in the
right place at the right time. His most famous photo is the one of the
paratroopers at the (Western) Wall, but he didn’t like it because he thought
it wasn’t good. Everyone tells that David was a nice man who would
always smile.
