Yitzhak Navon 1921-2015

Yitzhak Navon, the fifth President of the state of Israel, dies this week at ninety four years old. He
(was) born in Jerusalem to one of the families who live in the city since the seventeenth century.
When he (was) young, he studies education and Islamic culture. As President, he goes to Egypt to
visit Anwar Sadat. This is the first visit of an Israeli president in Egypt. Yitzhak Navon isn’t just a
politician, he’s also an educated and cultural man, who writes about the culture of Spain’s Jews.
