Bracha and Joni

Bracha and Joni is a couple. They are fighters in the Palmach (the
regular fighting force of the Hagana). The British put Joni in prison
for 7 years. Bracha visits Joni every visiting day and writes him
letters.

One day Bracha goes to help illegal immigrants from Europe to enter
Israel. The British see Bracha and kill her.

But Joni does not know that Bracha dies.
On the visiting day, he waits and waits for Bracha – and she does not
come. Joni does not understand why.

On the same day Joni reads a newspaper. In the newspaper there is a
picture of Bracha. Now Joni understands why Bracha does not come
to visit.

That evening Joni receives the last letter (from) of Bracha. In the
letter Bracha writes: "I wait for you very much. I think that soon we
will meet…"

Joni also dies in the war over Israel in 1948.
