Band-Aids
Have you seen the Band-Aids in the streets of Tel Aviv? These are
Dede's works. The truth is that
Dede is his pseudonym. What
is his real name? Maybe we'll
never know.
Why Band-Aids? Because
everyone here is “scratched"-
maybe that's what he thinks.
Sometimes you see the Band-Aids in larger paintings, among other
things, and sometimes only the Band-Aid by itself. Dede began
painting in the city streets in 2006, and in recent years he also presents
his paintings in art galleries in Israel and around the world.
Sometimes Dede works with other street artists, until you cannot tell
who did what. In recent years Dede has been working with his partner
- Nitzan Mintz, who writes poems in the streets. They met while
working in the street. Now they have a studio, but they also keep their
own special style.
