The Ethiopian Church – ‫ַה ְכ ֵנ ִסּ ָייה ָה ֶא ְתיֹו ִפית‬

English translation
King Solomon, the son of David and Bathsheba was a very wise king.
He knew how to speak to people and animals. All the people and the
animals liked talking to him and ask him questions, because he knew all
the answers. Everybody was happy to be at his beautiful and big parties
because there was a lot of music, wine and women in those parties.
Only one queen did not know who King Solomon was – the Queen of
Sheba. She lived in the far land of Ethiopia.
King Solomon wrote to the queen and invited her to visit in Jerusalem.
The queen wrote that she could come only 3 years later. After 3 years
the queen came to Jerusalem. The king met with the queen and thought
she was pretty and clever.
King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba fell in love and had a son –
Menelik.
In 1893 Menelik's sons came to Jerusalem and built a church on
Haneviím Street. They named the church "The mountain of Eden". On
church's door there is a sign in Amharic language "…the Lion of the
tribe of Judah hath prevailed…"
