Ahuzat Bayit
The Jews in Jaffa want a Hebrew city. They start building Tel
Aviv close to Jaffa and to "Neve-Tzedek". [They] call the first
neighborhood "Ahuzat Bayit". The biggest streets in the
neighborhood are Herzel Street and Rothschild Street.
On Herzel Street there is a big school – "Gymnasia Herzelia". In
Rothschild Street there are trees, benches and a water tower. In
the water tower there is a big room: the office of the mayor Meir
Dizengoff.
In Rothschild Street there is also a kiosk. It is possible to buy in
the kiosk a lemonade. Also today we can see the first kiosk of
Tel Aviv in Rothschild Street.
