Hiking with an App

Spring hasn’t officially started, but it seems like it’s here already. Hiking
trails are blooming and this is the time to go hiking with a backpack, a

stick and a smartphone, naturally. The Atali family loves hiking outdoors

and doesn’t miss a chance to document. This time they’re trying out a new
app – WishTrip, a blue and white project that aspires to change the hiking

world like Waze changed the driving world. The three entrepreneurs are
ultra-orthodox hi-tech workers from Jerusalem who got stuck in the middle

of a hike and tried to navigate, unsuccessfully. After four years of

development and raising millions of dollars, WishTrip is officially
launching the app. The digital library already has twenty thousand trails

around the world and a hundred thousand users. The users actually pave

the way for those who follow them, who enjoy the recommendations,
experiences and pictures. The app creates a kind of personal travel log, and

at the end of the trip, at the travelers’ convenience, an album and photo
clip is created that summarizes your trip, whether it’s in South Africa, at

Central Park in New York, or Taiwan.
