Drama at Teva
The Israeli Teva company announced last week that they will fire one
thousand and seven hundred employees, and shut down the company’s
factories in Jerusalem by the end of two thousand eighteen. The employees
decided to fight, and they (have been) sleeping at the factories for several
days and don’t want to come out. Minister of Labor Israel Haim Katz
spoke to the employees today. They will try to stop the big layoffs and
hope that (they) won’t shut the factory down. (We) can’t know what the
end of this drama will be yet, but what’s certain is that Teva’s employees
are fighting for their lives.
