Pleased to Meet You

A week ago Anat Sekliar, a medical student, read a post on Facebook that
interested her. “A doctor, telling how hard it is for her that she doesn’t

have that human touch with patients.” Sklar read the post to her partner,

and he got an idea in his head – to print large stickers with the caregivers’
pictures on them. The project got organized quickly, and received the

name ‘welcoming face’. From the printing house in Tel Aviv, which
voluntarily prints the stickers, a shipment set out today to the Tel
Hashomer Hospital, and the doctors report a great improvement in the

relationship with patients. “We received a patient, the first sentence is,
hello, my name is Uri, this is me, and you point to the sticker you have on

your stomach, and he smiled. This communication, you immediately see

how it soothes the patient, how it creates trust. I think this was the goal

here.” Asayag and his friends receive help from the Migdalor Naval
Academy Foundation, and the companies HP and Indigo. It’s nice to see

the present crisis yields good deeds and original initiatives as well.
