ANNUAL P&F TRIVIA NIGHT
ANNU
As the School community adapted to life on Zoom
and found innovative ways to stage events that
kept the community connected, the Parents’ and
Friends’ Association’s annual fundraiser, held in
August, was also adapted to an online format.
The theme of this year’s event was “Breakout” and
not only were our students and parents equal to
the challenges of an online quiz, they were equally
creative in dressing to the theme and ‘staging’ their
homes to great effect.
More than 100 players participated and, despite
not being ‘together’ in the one venue, there was a
tremendous sense of connectedness throughout, Mr Maynard, Mr Gee and Mr Cockington at Trivia HQ

and a wonderful demonstration of the School
spirit for which we are renowned. We thank all the
participants for their unreserved support of this
COVID-inspired version of this popular event.
The evening was led by our hilarious Quizmaster,
and Head of Junior School, Mr. Nigel Cockington,
and co-hosted by the Headmaster, Mr. Maynard.
Much credit is due to organisers Mr Bruce Gee and
Mrs Kate Prowse, who mastered the technology
that enabled players to submit their answers online,
from an office that soon resembled a scene from
NASA HQ.
We extend special thanks to BMGS Alumnus Mr
Randall Walker (1988) for his incredibly generous
sponsorship of the event.

ANNUAL MOVIE NIGHT
AL MO
In August, the annual P&F Junior School Movie
Night was held and Coote Hall was full to bursting
with eager moviegoers, excited to be meeting ‘Stani’
Klimczyki from Lego Masters (the Uncle of Noah
Gorrick (Stage 2) who brought one of his Lego
structures with him and signed many autographs
before the Lego Movie 2 began, which was
accompanied by hot dogs, drinks and popcorn.
We thank Mrs Bonnie Mamo and her team of
helpers for ensuring this much-loved event could
still take place. It was also terrific to see so many
children from Springwood campus join in.
CAND YLAND DISCO
CANDYLAND DISCO
The annual P&F Disco, our Junior School’s much
anticipated social highlight of the year took place in
November, with a Candyland theme.
Children from both campuses joined in the fun
and Coote Hall was awash with bright, creative
costumes, lights, colourful food and decorations.
The dancing ranged from recognisable to bizarre
and there were conga lines and limbo contests at
various points during the festivities. The children
had a wonderful time.
