Pitt House), Michayla Clark and Lucia James-Wright.
In November, BMGS held a green-themed day in support of
Pitt House’s goal to raise awareness and funds to support
community projects for Indonesia as part of our ongoing
commitment to the Compassion Project. This is a charity
providing aid to mothers with children under five years of
age in one of the poorest areas of the world.
The School has supported the Compassion Project in Indonesia for many years, and there is a
bienniel trip to Sulewesi to visit the Project and see how the funds our students raise are benefitting
the village community. Whilst the pandemic this year forced the cancellation of the scheduled trip,
Pitt House students Lucia James Wright, Michayla Clark, Lucy Saunders and Chloe Dance took
the initative to compile and publish a BMGS Compassion Cookbook, which not only featured tasty
recipes, but promoted community connection and awareness of the Compassion project.
Their initiative also involved the Junior School students, encouraging them to submit artwork for the
cover design. Parents, carers and students from all three campuses contributed delicious recipes and
cooking tips for the book, which was launched in Term 4 in conjunction with a ‘wear green to school’
        Mufti Day.
The School community duly turned ‘green’ and all copies of the book were sold within the day; the
girls are to be congratulated on these endeavours which were a great success and together raised
        more than $900.
