INTRODUCTION

A. TITTLE
DESCRIPTION

What do you know about recount text? Recount text is a
text that contains a story of the past or text that retells the events
of the past and is conveyed in order according to the order in
which they occurred. Have you ever told me about your past
events? Usually what is most often told is personal experiences such

as vacationing or also reporting a news that has happened to
others.

Do you know the function of this recount text? Recount text
has a function as a text that will inform an event and also to
entertain the reader if the story you write has an element of
humor. To be able to become information, the story told is usually

in the form of facts.

B. PREREQUISITIES

In the previous material we have studied the use of simple
past tense along with examples. To be able to understand this

module you are expected to have read and understood the use of
simple past tense. In addition, try to recall events that happened in
your past that you have experienced. If you meet these prerequisites,

then you are able to understand the recount text and its
components.
