as it once might have. Age introduces a different realism—one must measure aspiration against
capacity.

Yet I do not feel frustrated.

In a single lifetime, it is impossible to fulfil every dream. Some desires remain unrealised—not as
failures, but as quiet companions to our lives. The dream of walking the Great Himalayan Trail may
remain just that: a dream.

Still, there is meaning even in having longed for it. To imagine oneself walking beneath vast
Himalayan skies, listening to stories in remote villages, and writing freely without institutional
constraint—this imagination has shaped who I am. Whether or not my feet ever complete that
trail, the yearning itself has already been part of my journey.
