Evaluation
1. Were there any significant differences
in the variety of food supply compared to
your home town?
In each country there were food walks organized, where students and teachers
actively got to know how food was consumed or bought in various locations.
Above you can see the outcome. If you look at the result „All countries“ the
answers were almost equally spread into the four categories. More interesting
is to see that the more to the center of Europe you get, the less unknown the
supply of dishes and locations were.
2. You have met different food producers
and chefs during the exchange and how
they reflected upon their production of
their goods/dishes. What did you think
about these activities?
In Germany there was a more traditional family farm producing, which
seemed quite familiar to the participants. On the contrary, the production
of monks at an island outside Cannes and a restaurant in the archipelago
outside Stockholm serving dishes reflecting a Japanese philosophy arose
more interest among the students.
