Skagway (continued)
The White Pass and Yukon Route is a Canadian and U.S. Class II 3 ft
narrow-gauge railroad linking the port of Skagway with Whitehorse,
the capital of Yukon. This railroad system has no direct connection to
any other. The trip up to White Pass summit took 2.5 hours. Wood
stoves were in each car for warmth
The 40-mile round-trip excursion climbs from tidewater at Skagway to
the Summit of the White Pass - a 2,888 foot elevation.
The trip traced the original route to the White Pass Summit, passing
Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point and Dead Horse Gulch. The panorama The “Flat Girls” were also along on
