Audible is a five-piece band based in Colorado Springs
that are determined to set an example to other local
artists on the level and quality that is possible from hard
work and determination. Audible’s members are Melvin
“HoTT” Shaw (the emcee), Jeb Burgess (lead
guitar/vocals), Brandon Metz (Keys/guitar/vocals), Kyrt
Ellis (bass), and Ryan May (drums). Starting out as a two-
piece in 2012, HoTT and Jeb combined their talents to
create a most unique sound that quickly became a
crowd favorite. At the same time, Brandon, Kyrt, and
Ryan had formed a rock band called Sound Studies that
also became a popularly sought-out band. In 2017, they
decided to combine their projects and form the
polished well-rounded version of audible that is enjoyed
today.

In 2018, Audible was chosen to play the Tiny Desk
Showcase because of a song that they submitted to
NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest that landed them in the top 3
out of more than 5500 submissions from around the
country. Through the first two years, they spent their time
writing, recording, and performing with bands like Murs,
Warren G., Everlast, and Robert Randolph.
