The Lacs weren’t always traveling cross country and opening for the likes of MONTGOMERY GENTRY at a
NASCAR event for a crowd of 70,000 people. Clay and Brian said they had a slow start. He learned to play
guitar from his dad. As he got older, he listened to DR. DRE, “Chronic 2000,” drank whisky and beer,
freestyling his own lyrics.
Eventually after Clay and Brian saved up some money, they bought beats machines and some recording
equipment. Little did they know this would be the beginning of spoken word country that’s now flowing
through the speakers of cars on city streets and back roads.
