Half of Ice Cube’s show was N.W.A music. Ice Cube
shared with his audience, “I loved being a part of
N.W.A., but they dissed me because I went solo
because my money was funny. The mutha-fuckers got
mad and dissed me. You know what happens when you
dis me? I gotta dis you back. And when I dis you back,
I’m going to give it to you good. But those are my people.
I love them. I love the boys of N.W.A.”

At one point, Ice Cube and WC split the Amphitheatre in
half to see which side could sing the loudest and the
best. The audience really got into it and enjoyed
participating. He performed a slew of his solo hits such
as “Friday,” “No Vaseline,” “Go To Church,” and ending
the night with “It Was A Good Day.” Ice Cube’s lyrics
about drugs, police brutality, and other injustice
subjects, had the crowd cheering for his entire show.

Ice Cube’s music videos played in the big screen in the
background while Ice Cube performed his songs.
Everything that Ice Cube did or say or sang brought
loud, boisterous cheers from his audience. Someone
came and let Ice Cube know it was time to finish the
show and Ice responded, “We are going to do it as long
as we want to do it.”

On a personal level, this was such a treat for me. I was
really excited to see my favorite hip-hop artist/actor
perform. I’ve been waiting several years to see this
show and I finally was able to catch up with the
American music icon, Ice Cube…a good day indeed!
