It’s not every day that you get to see a
legend. So as soon as I found out that 1 of
4 Beatles is going to be performing in Los
Angeles, I immediately looked it up,
requested to cover the show, and prayed
in the hopes of getting the chance to
photograph him for ION Indie Magazine.
And then poof! My wish was granted and
          so here we are.

Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band
performed at the Greek Theater on a
Thursday night (June 15, 2023) and of
course, it was fully packed. The venue was
loaded with all different generations of
fans, all from teens to seniors. It was a fun
and exciting night full of timeless music and
          legendary artists.

The show started out with Ringo Starr
singing at the front with a microphone
which brings a whole different side of him
as we are all used to seeing him play
drums at the back of the stage during The
Beatles era. At the show, he played along
          with several incredible musicians; Steve
Lukather, Colin Hay, Edgar Winter, Warren
          Ham, Hamish Stuart, and Gregg
          Bissonette.

The weather was perfect for an outdoor
venue like the Greek Theater, the sky was
clear and was full of stars, the stage was
all lit up with stars flashing on the screen
and so is Ringo Starr’s sparkly jacket! It
          was literally an “all-star” night!

It was after the third song when Ringo Starr
sat down on the drum set where we all got
to finally see the legendary drummer play
drums. I had to pinch myself to believe that
I’m actually seeing him play drums in front
of me. It was so unreal. Being a drummer
myself, I got chills in each beat he played.
I would listen deeply to each drum and
cymbal he would hit. I really took my time
to absorb the moment and let everything
sink in because it was just unbelievable to
me that I got the chance to actually watch
him live. It was just so breathtaking to
          watch!
