The first set ended with The Beatles song, “Yellow Submarine” and of course, this just really blew my mind. I
couldn’t even sing along when they played this song because I was so teary and just really wanted to immerse
my soul with their performance. He sang this iconic song while he waves his arm with the peace sign that he’d
always devote to share. Their performance was really full of PEACE and LOVE.
The night even got better when the well-known song “Africa” was played by the one and only Steve Lukather of
Toto. And to add to that special treat, Ringo Starr played drums on that song too! The band also played a Chuck
Berry cover hit, “Johnny B. Goode,” and dedicated it to everyone that had humble beginnings.
Another song from their set was “Back Off Boogaloo,” I remembered this moment so well because you can hear
the whole crowd marching and singing along which just really gave me intense goosebumps. They also performed
“Photograph” and “I Wanna Be Your Man” which made the crowd dance and really test out their so-called dancing
shoes!
The night ended with my favorite song. It was very ironic because this song was actually included in the bio that I
wrote for ION Indie Magazine, the publication for which I am writing this report. In another note, I would say that it
was the perfect song to end the night. “With A Little Help From My Friends” is the song that spreads positivity,
gives hope and love which is what Ringo Starr is all about. We are all well aware that he’s such a living legend
and is a big part of our musical history. He’s an icon and probably one of the most influential drummers who ever
existed. With all that success and greatness, Ringo Starr remained to be humble. He is a walking ray of sunshine
that spreads joy and happiness to everyone. His contagious positivity has definitely made this world a better place.
