“You Put the Con in Congregation”

The band Air Drawn Dagger consists of Lewis Budden on guitar, vocalist Maisie
Manterfield and percussionist Ross Dore. The name of the band comes from
Shakespeare's Macbeth. You know, "Is this a dagger I see before me?" and all that.
And although that might seem all very highbrow and out of the layperson’s reach,
the band certainly isn't. In fact, this is a band for the weirdos, the misfits, the
others, the unrecognised. But you don't have to be in any of those camps to
appreciate this band. I have to admit that I was first drawn to these guys by
their name as I'd seen various gigs listed online and that name jumped out at
me, and I knew I had to check them out. This strategy sometimes leads to
disappointment, but not in this case. These guys blew me away the first time I
saw them, and I always try and catch them whenever they play hometown shows.
