LS: How has this pandemic impacted you as an independent artist?
1K Pson: As an independent artist, I feel like the pandemic has impacted me
positively as well as negatively. Negatively, because we had to cancel a lot
of shows. But positively, because with everyone being at home, I’m able to
connect with my fans on a more personal level.
LS: What does ‘paying one’s dues’ in the music industry mean to you
as you’ve carved out your creative path?
1K Pson: Basically, staying true to myself and still being able to do what God
called me to do…which is to be the light for the lost and to love on the broken.
LS: What defines success for you as a musical artist?
1K Pson: The ability to be relatable and encourage people all around the
world on a level that impacts their lives directly and indirectly for the better.
Whether my music impacts one person or 1 million people, to me, success
is not defined by the number of people who know of you but by the impact
and influence that you leave on someone’s life.
