KP: If you could spend an hour with any artist, whether living or passed
away, who would that be and why?

V: R. Kelly…because he’s a musical genius despite his mishaps. Every album he
has written has went gold. His intellect; his growth over the years with his music
in phenomenal. He sounds live like he does on his albums. He has remarkable
voice control, and he can paint a picture clearer than any artist I’ve ever come
across. He’s done a lot for the music industry.

KP: What is your dream gig?

V: To perform at any venue and be able to touch even if it’s one individual and
change their lives. I’m not too fond of lights and glamour and the hype. I’m old-
fashioned. Call me old school; all I need is one mic and an audience.

KP: What defines ‘success’ for you as a musical artist?

V: Reaching people, gaining people’s respect and your sincerity as an artist.

KP: What’s next for VUE? Short-term goals and long-term goals…

V: Continue to bring a message to all my fans and whoever is willing to listen.
Continue with my nonprofit Operation Cool Down, helping as many people as I
can. My short-term goals coincide with my long-term goals It. It’s not about money
and fame. It’s about reaching people for me.

KP: Thank you so much for talking with me! It’s great to reconnect! Any
parting words for our readers?

V: I would like to thank everyone who has supported VUE and will continue. I give
a shout out to all indie artists for not giving up on their goals no matter the struggle.
We can do this!
