Whenever I’m asked to come to and shoot a band or artist at The Rialto Theatre, an Elvis-
esque smirk fills my face with anticipation. I never turn down anything from The Rialto.
This 1922 vaudeville theater -- turned movie theater…turned live music venue -- is an
awesome place for great local and national touring acts. Tonight, it was Tribulance.
Established in 1998, Tribulance is comprised of vocalist Michael Vidal, guitarist Sal Flores,
bassist Gino Silva, and drummer Brandon Lee. "Go Big or Go Home" is their motto
approach. Tribulance will stop at nothing to prove they have what it takes to be taken
seriously in the metal/hard rock world.

This band has been one of my favorite edgy metal acts for several years now. These
rockers out of Arizona are no strangers to the scene. Tribulance always delivers loud,
hard, and fast; with an aggressive in-your-face punch…although all members do throw an
occasional smile while posing and hamming it up for the crowd. It is apparent that they
thoroughly enjoy playing together and are always appreciative of the crowd which makes
it possible for them to perform. I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage when I was in
music back in ‘98 and have worked with these guys on several occasions for photo
promos, live performance shoots, and an album session for their latest release, “The
Aftermath of Lies.” Tribulance does not disappoint. Tonight’s show was another reminder
of why I enjoy locally-grown, home-brewed music. Although the set was short, it was filled
with blistering infernal metal. The venue floor was starting to fill with true die-hard metal
               fans.
