John 5’s first band experience was in Los Angeles with a band called
Alligator Soup. After the lead singer experienced an accident mid-set he
was pulled from the stage. In order to make sure the show went
continued, John 5 took center stage and caught the attention of Rudy
Sarzo. Rudy would go on to introduce him to Bob Marlette. Rudy and
Bob had connections to Lita Ford, KISS, Ozzy Osbourne, K.D. Lang,
Marilyn Manson, and Rob Zombie -- just a few of the many musicians
John 5 has worked with through the years.
In 2014, John 5 did a series of internet shows on the heels of the release
of his album, “Careful With That Axe.” Following the success of these
shows, John 5 decided to take his solo act on the road, joined by his
friend Rodger Carter on the drums and newcomer Ian Ross on the bass.
After a series of sold-out shows, John 5 and The Creatures decided to
extend their tour.
