KP: You recently shared the stage in Joliet, IL at The Forge with Red Dragon Cartel and a little birdie told me
that Jäger left a solid impression with the audience in attendance. Can you tell our readers about that
electrifying night and how it came about?
KM: I had called The Forge to see if there was an open spot available for the show after my Producer Matt
Vogt’s’ new band Drama Queen was asked twice to play but was unable to perform that particular night. We
just happened to fall into the right place at the right time to acquire the show! We were ready to kick ass and
chew bubble gum, but we were all out of bubble gum, so we left everything up on the stage for everyone else
to follow. We performed nearly perfectly. I felt this was (or is) the beginning of the future. We rocked the house!
Management and staff commented that we are welcome anytime!
KP: I had heard the chatter about your magnificent performance at The Forge and that you owned that stage.
Last time we spoke in 2014, you had just put out your “Weekend Rush” album. Will we be hearing any new
music by Jäger?
KM: I have been blessed to have found two phenomenal guitar players that are multi-talented and have the
ability to help write music for a new album -- high school friend Paul Tadder guitar extraordinaire and musical
savant Aaron Baker. These guys are ridiculously talented. I feel we have the ability to perform just about
anything we wanted to. It’s a very special feeling. Aaron has started an internship with a recording studio, and
we just might get something special done by year’s end! And I’d also like to mention the return of our solid bass
player Boomer Edwards and our very talented drummer Michael Partridge, who was trained by long-time friend,
the legendary Zoltan Chaney.
KP: I’ll be watching for that new music! How has Jäger grown as a band in the last 5 years and what are your
future goals?
KM: Well, I guess the main goal was trying to find the right musicians that could gel together, be friends, have
the same goals, insights, direction, and compatible talents. We’ve absolutely found this in this current line-up.
KP: Please talk a bit about the highlights – and lowlights – of your music career thus far. What would you do
differently?
KM: Some of my highlights would include being blessed to work with my Producer Matt Vogt. His help was
invaluable in making the ‘Weekend Rush’ album. I learned so much in so little time! Also, there were my 2011 X
Factor performances and making it to the Singers Bootcamp in Pasadena, CA…along with getting article write-
ups in ION Indie Magazine, working with all the talented musicians in the great State of Wisconsin. I’ve gained
knowledge, friendships, and experience from each and every one of them. My lowlights would be not having
the time that I so much want to be able to put into my music. I’m not getting any younger. This is probably the
last shot I’ll ever have with the window closing with Father Time.
KP: As we do this interview, you are preparing to appear with BulletBoys in Kansasville, WI at 1175. How did
that gig come about and what sort of set will you be performing for that show?
KM: We had just performed The Forge and I had stopped in to talk with the owner. Once again, I got a ‘Yes!’ I
feel like everything is going right for us now and am praying this good luck continues. Our set will be a mix of 17
of our originals and tribute cover songs…and we’re gonna ROCK IT OUT!!!
