TB: Your music has garnered you a lot of recognition. Does that put more pressure on you as you
         create new material?

JV: Yes and no. I write because it comes naturally. I love it and it's fun. If someone out there is connecting with
a song of mine, then my job is done. I try to pay attention to feedback I receive, demographic, genre, content,
so that I can challenge myself in creating new music by adding a new sound or style to the mix.

TB: You rarely perform live. Do you feel that impacts your musical career?

JV: I have been approached to perform live and by various independent labels. I feel this may have limited me
to the amount of exposure I could have gained, but again, I'm not trying to be an artist. I want to write and
create music for others. However, if there is a charitable function that asks me to perform, I will consider it. I
have terrible stage fright! Recently, I was asked to perform as a headliner to kick off the Susan G. Komen
‘Race for the Cure’ in Colorado Springs. Before I could even think about it, I said, ‘Yes.’ I wanted to challenge
myself. This would allow my music to be impactful, have purpose, and provide a positive message. I was
terrified up to the point where I got up on stage and started to sing. What a rush!

TB: Many musicians will take live audiences' feedback when testing out new material. Where do you
get your feedback from when you are testing out new material?

JV: I've used various channels such as ReverbNation, Indie Music Channel, Radio Airplay. I have been lucky
enough to gain high scores in each of these to land feature spots.

TB: Who are you listening to these days?

JV: I am a sucker for anything SIA puts out. I also listen to Maroon 5, Harry Styles, and pretty much anything
         on the Top 40 charts.

TB: What’s up next for Jenny?

JV: Well, I am planning on shifting my focus a little. I will still create music, but I have started a team called
lyriXchange which consists of music industry pros. We are going to provide services in coaching, songwriting,
and production. I want to educate, encourage, and inspire those who are looking to break into the music in-
dustry by providing a sound support system. I want to bring their personality and vision to life through song.
It's relationship based. I need to understand their story in order to help them translate it. I want to create music
with purpose. I'm currently writing for a 12-year-old who is worried about the state of the Earth, a senior who
is wanting a legacy song for his Celebration of Life, and a make-up song for a couple who is struggling with
         their relationship.
