No, this isn’t a painting. They are STANDS WITH FISTS…magnificently
orchestrated metal/hard rock performers hailing from the desert of the
Southwest! And if you close your eyes and listen with your heart, this could
be a soundtrack to someone’s life.
Stands With Fists has risen through the ranks providing a unique new
innovative sound with a healthy dose of familiarity. Their profound stage
presence and wild performance is often brought up anytime Stands With
Fists is mentioned in conversation.
Throughout the years they have stormed the stage as support for a large
quantity of national and international acts, also taking part on large music
festivals such as Knotfest and California Metalfest (among others), always
pulling large crowds. And besides their very exciting high energy raw
shows, they are also able to provide the spectators with an exotic
psychedelic one-of-a-kind experience which consists of a 3D chroma-depth
ultraviolet glow production. And tonight, I got to expedience my first 3D Glow
Show with Stands With Fists. The elegance of the violins serenade while
the hypnotic sounds of Jonathan Russell’s Didgeridoo and the black light
paint on the band put me in a kind of orgasmic meditative trance.
These artists/musicians are Jonathan Russell (vocals/Didgeridoo), Adrian
Wilson (violin), Louis Schaum (drums), Omar Hernandez Cuadra (guitar),
Steve Pardo (guitars), and Bobby RC Hutchinson (bass). And for this night
Jamie King was a guest vocalist.
I had the opportunity chat with Omar and Jonathan a few days after the
show. Knowing them for more than several years, it gave us time to catch
up. We chatted for a while and I threw some questions at them.
